American Gold Coins

The Buffalo and Eagle coins are the most prominent in American gold coins history. Issued by the United States Mint, these coins are made from 24-karat and 22-karat gold, respectively. While the Buffalo gold coin is offered only in 1oz weight, the Eagle coins range in weights of 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz.

African Gold Coins

Minted by South African giant Rand Refinery, the Gold Krugerrand coins are the oldest bullion coins debuted in 1967. Initially offered in 1oz weights, the coins were joined by three fractional weights, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz, in 1980. On the front facade of the coins is the left-profile portrait of Paul Kruger, the South African Republic’s first democratically elected leader. The coin’s reverse side bears a picture of Africa’s national symbol, the Springbok antelope.

Australian Gold Coins

The Australian Gold Kangaroo Coins are produced by the Perth Mint, which was initially part of RCM’s three branches. This beloved gold coin series was released in 1986 with the name Australian Gold Nugget. After a redesign in 1989 included the most iconic Australian animal kangaroo, the 1 oz coins were renamed Kangaroo Coins. The design of these coins keeps changing every year. Perth Mint also offers Koala Series, Lunar Series, and Kookaburra Series.

British Gold Coins

The Britannia gold coins in our collection are the product of the Royal Mint of England. Debuted in 1987 with 22-karat gold, these coins are now issued yearly. One of the prominent design coins in the world, the Britannia series displays the female personification of Great Britain by Philip Nathan on the reverse of the coins. At the same time, the front facade has changed from Queen Elizabeth II to His Majesty King Charles III. You can choose any from the weights of 1oz, 1/2oz, or 1/10 oz.

Austrian Gold Coins

Initially issued in 1989 with face values in Austrian Schillings, the coins are now listed with Euros as their face value. Designed by the Austrian Mint Chief Engraver Thomas Pesendorfer, the Gold Philharmonic coins have the same front and reverse design in every edition. Offered by the renowned Austrian Mint, these gold coin weights include 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz, and 1/25 oz options. The Austrian Mint is one of the world’s major mints, producing some of the best-selling bullion coins and various collectibles.

Our Collection of Gold Bars

Gold bullion bars are an excellent option for investors looking for more design options and flexibility. Produced the private Mints and refineries worldwide, these bars are available in diverse sizes, weights, and designs. Though government bodies don’t back these gold bars, they undergo rigorous quality checks by certified assayers at the refineries. Each bar is inspected for purity, quality, and weight before being released to the market. Most gold bars are made with at least .999 pure gold, with many meeting the higher standard of .9999 purity.

Gold bars with a weight of 1 ounce or less usually come with a tamper-proof Certicard with the same serial number as the bar itself, along with assay details, the Chief Assayer’s signature, and any other relevant information. A serial number can be helpful when storing gold bars bullion in a trust or designated location.

In terms of gold bar weights in our assortment, you can see a wide variety from 1g or 1oz to 20g bars. Here are the gold bullion bars available to purchase at CanAm Bullion:

  • Valcambi Gold Bars
  • Credit Suisse Bars
  • PAMP Credit Suisse Bars
  • RCM Bars
  • Rand Refinery Bars

What’s Inside Our Goldbacks Range

In contrast to conventional gold and silver, the history of these Goldbacks dates back to a very recent period. Created by Jeremy Cordon, the first-ever Goldbacks were issued in 2019. These Goldbacks are a unique way to invest in gold bullion. These are used as “complementary currency” to the US dollar in the United States. However, these Goldbacks are nothing new, and numerous alternative currencies are used in the various parts of the US. Their popularity is also because they are not merely a form of paper currency but are crafted with a significant portion of pure gold.

At CanAm Bullion, we have a collection of Utah Goldback Series that includes multiple denominations and stunning design details. Utah was the first state to have a Goldback series crafted for it. According to the founder of Goldback, Inc., the objective was to create “vertically-oriented lady virtues” that would showcase the state’s history. Each denomination has its virtue. These include:

  • One Utah Goldback: Prudence (Prudentia)
  • Five Utah Goldbacks: Truth (Veritas)
  • Ten Utah Goldbacks: Justitia (Justice)
  • Twenty-Five Utah Goldbacks: Victoria (Victory)
  • Fifty Utah Goldbacks: Libertas (Liberty)
